Where to train?

When?
The class is held every Tuesday from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. for adults, and every Tuesday from 6:15 p.m. to 7:15p.m. for children, except on holidays and during holidays.

Krav Maga - a method based on reality
Krav Maga is the self-defense system used by special forces in many countries. It differs from other self-defense methods due to its realistic and effective approach, which is accessible to everyone, regardless of age, size, or physical abilities.
Evolve quickly
Thanks to techniques based on reflexes and the biomechanical principles of the human body, you need very little time to master Krav Maga techniques. After just a few months, you will start to master the basics.

IKM Krav Maga – A global reference
The federation International Krav Maga (IKM), founded in 2009 by Gabi Noah, enjoys global recognition and is strongly represented in Belgium, under the leadership of Harry Mariette. Instructors undergo regular training under the guidance of Master experts. The club Krav Maga Merchtem, affiliated with IKM, offers one training session per week in an energetic and friendly atmosphere.
IKM Krav Maga – A global reference
The Krav Maga club of Merchtem is part of the international Krav Maga federation (IKM), led by the internationally recognized Gabi Noah, and is one of the three official Krav Maga federations in the world.
Growth within Krav Maga
Krav Maga operates with a grading system divided into 5 categories, each with 5 levels, each with a specific program and knowledge:
- Young(P1 to P10)
- Practitioner(P1 to P5)
- Graduated(G1 to G5)
- Expert(E1 to E5)
- Master(1 to 5)
To progress, each student must pass all lower grades again before attempting a higher one. For example, to achieve Practitioner 3rd grade, you must first pass the exams for Practitioner 1st and 2nd grade, and then for the 3rd grade. This method strengthens the foundational knowledge and ensures good progression.
Requirements to obtain a grade:
- Achieve the required number of points and respect the waiting period
- Wear the correct uniform and have a valid license at the exam
- Obtain permission from the instructor
- Fully master the exam requirements of the grade itself and the preceding grades
For the grade Practitionera minimum of 50 points and a waiting period of 6 months between grades is required. The points are distributed as follows:
- 40 points through regular training
- 10 points through 2 sessions of 4 hours, given by Gabi Noah or one of his representatives
By continuing to grow, you can eventually become an instructor and pass on your passion and knowledge of Krav Maga to new students.
